About The Position

The Alterations and Tailoring Shop Manager is motivated, results oriented, and committed to providing outstanding customer service every day. The manager teaches, coaches, and develops employees; recruits and hires talent; and ensures alterations and tailoring meet Nordstrom’s guidelines and service and quality standards. The manager organizes department workload so items are completed by the promised date, educates employees on proper fit and shop procedures, and manages office and labor expenses.

Requirements

• Previous experience in alterations or tailoring.
• Understanding of the safe and proper use of all equipment in the shop.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with co-workers and customers.
• High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store needs.
