About The Position

Bloomingdale’s Alteration Support Professional contributes to daily store operations and helps deliver an easy and enjoyable customer shopping experience. The role involves sewing garments and performing basic to advanced alterations, including work on sleeves, backs, sides, collars, and bodices, as well as minor repairs and button replacement. The associate provides information about alteration services, responds to customer questions, and completes quality work on time and to customer specifications.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
1–2 years of direct experience.
Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods; reach, crouch, kneel, stoop, use color vision, and climb ladders as needed.
Ability to frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld electronic equipment.
