About The Position

The Manager, Accounts Payable leads Centric Brands’ domestic and international accounts payable team, supporting direct and indirect vendors across multiple countries. The role is responsible for accurate and timely vendor payments, reliable monthly close activities, strong internal controls, and the integrity of vendor master data in SAP. This manager transforms manual processes into automated, streamlined, technology-driven functions, including invoice capture, matching, approval workflows, and electronic payments. The role leads an onshore and offshore team and manages AP performance through metrics, service levels, and continuous improvement. The manager ensures vendors are paid accurately and on time, the monthly close is reliable, and the function can scale through automation and efficient team operations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least 5 years of accounts payable or procure-to-pay management experience.
Experience with domestic and international accounts payable, including direct and indirect vendors.
Proven track record leading AP automation and transformation initiatives.
Experience managing onshore and offshore or outsourced teams.
SAP experience.
Experience working across geographies and currencies, including intercompany transactions.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, and PowerPoint.
Exceptional written and verbal communication and customer service skills, and strong teamwork.
Organization, attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of OpenText, xSuite, and Infor Nexus.
Experience in apparel, accessories, consumer products, or retail.

Responsibilities

Manage an onshore and offshore Accounts Payable team supporting domestic and international vendors across multiple countries.
Allocate workload, manage service levels, perform quality reviews, and hire, coach, and cross-train staff.
Lead AP automation and transformation efforts, including OCR/AI invoice capture, automated two- and three-way matching, electronic approval workflows, and straight-through posting in SAP, partnering with IT on tools such as xSuite and Infor Nexus.
Drive the shift from checks to ACH, wire, virtual card, early pay, and other electronic payment methods.
Establish and report AP KPIs, including touchless invoice rate, cycle time, on-time payment, first-pass match rate, offshore SLA attainment, and cost per invoice; prepare monthly reports and dashboards for senior leadership.
Oversee the end-to-end invoice-to-payment process for direct and indirect vendors, resolving purchase order, receipt, and invoice discrepancies with Sourcing, Production, and Logistics.
Manage weekly domestic and international payment runs, including multi-currency payments and wires, and partner with Treasury on cash forecasting.
Support monthly AP close activities, including accruals, GR/IR clearing, subledger-to-GL reconciliations, and intercompany balances across legal entities.
Maintain vendor master data integrity, including onboarding, bank-detail verification, and duplicate checks.
Maintain internal controls, segregation of duties, and safeguards against duplicate and fraudulent payments; keep AP policies and SOPs current and support external audits.
Serve as the primary vendor contact, drive consistent statement reviews, and resolve discrepancies.
Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and complete other assignments as directed by senior leadership.
Serve as the first point of contact for internal and external escalations.
