About The Position

The Maintenance Technician performs repairs and maintenance at the Doubletree by Hilton DFW North in Irving, Texas. The role works primarily PM shifts, with some AM shifts, and is scheduled for 40 or more hours per week. The technician maintains electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and other facilities equipment while minimizing downtime. Duties also include welding, carpentry, painting, and supporting minor renovations and facility upgrades. The role requires proper handling and storage of chemicals and hazardous materials, accurate required reporting, and responsive customer service to guests and staff.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of trade-related experience and/or training in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, or building maintenance.
Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
Ability to collaborate within a diverse team and remain calm under pressure.
Ability to stand or sit for up to eight hours, carry or lift up to 50 pounds, walk, bend or twist, climb stairs, access hard-to-reach repair areas, and occasionally ascend or descend a ladder.
Ability to accommodate varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Repair electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and other equipment as needed while minimizing downtime.
Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, including residential painting, and facilities equipment maintenance.
Ensure chemicals and hazardous materials are used and stored properly, and complete required reporting accurately.
Lead minor renovation projects or facility upgrades while following safety protocols and quality standards.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests or staff and minimize disruption.
