About The Position

Wesley Living is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance at Wesley Graceland Gardens in Memphis, Tennessee, and St. Mark Manor in Moscow, Tennessee. The role includes electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC troubleshooting, apartment turnover work, inspections, and upkeep of the communities. The technician will help ensure residents can live in a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained home, while treating senior residents with patience and respect and protecting their comfort and privacy. The technician will work with the property manager to develop and execute a preventative maintenance plan in accordance with current policies and procedures. The position requires problem-solving, time management, leadership, teamwork, and budgeting skills. Familiarity with computers and electronics is desired. After-hours emergency availability is required.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience.
HVAC certification, or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance repairs, including plumbing, electrical work, HVAC troubleshooting, and basic carpentry.
Prepare vacant apartments for new residents, including painting, flooring repairs, and deep cleaning.
Conduct regular inspections of common areas and mechanical rooms to identify maintenance issues.
Maintain the property in accordance with local housing authority and HUD standards.
Follow fire codes and safety regulations.
Respond to after-hours emergencies.
Interact with senior residents patiently and respectfully, protecting their comfort and privacy while performing repairs in their homes.
Develop and execute a preventative maintenance plan with the property manager in accordance with current policies and procedures.
