About The Position

Indigo Real Estate is seeking an organized, energetic, self-starting Maintenance Technician who enjoys a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of their work. The role emphasizes customer service, multitasking, problem-solving, initiative, collaboration, and clear communication, along with cleanliness, efficiency, and accurate record-keeping. The position serves two properties in Auburn and Federal Way. Physical aspects include heavy lifting, carrying, transporting, and manipulating maintenance equipment and appliances; standing or walking for long periods; and bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, and balancing. Some weekend and holiday work is required, as is on-call availability for emergencies.

Requirements

Preferred minimum of 2 years of property maintenance experience.
Painting experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Effective customer service skills.
Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail.
Current driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.
Ability to work some weekends and holidays and be on call for emergencies.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking, as well as bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, and balancing.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests and work orders.
Provide excellent service to prospective and current residents and promote a quality living experience.
Perform preventive maintenance and apartment turns, including painting, diagnosing problems, and repairs involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pools, carpentry, drywall, and appliances.
Inspect buildings and grounds for safety and cleanliness, and work with outside contractors as needed.
Perform emergency after-hours maintenance as required.
