About The Position

Monarch Investment and Management Group is hiring a full-time, on-site Maintenance Supervisor for Palo Duro Place Apartments, a multifamily housing community in Amarillo, Texas. The role oversees maintenance work orders and team assignments, unit turnover and readiness, property repairs, preventative maintenance, vendor bids and major repairs, and coverage of the 24/7 emergency on-call system. The supervisor also performs repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and HVAC and conducts monthly budget analysis with the Property Manager.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with an on-call rotation of one week every four weeks. Candidates must have HVAC experience and EPA certification, and must complete a physical demonstration of basic job duties during the interview process. Employment is subject to criminal background and drug screenings.

Requirements

• HVAC experience.
• EPA certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of experience in the maintenance field.
• Experience managing at least one employee.
• Drywall, painting, and carpentry experience.
• Experience with light plumbing and electrical work.
• Working knowledge of appliances, including washers and dryers.
• Ability to physically demonstrate basic job duties during the interview process.

Nice To Haves

• CPO certification.
• At least 4 years of experience in the multifamily housing industry.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work orders are completed and assigned to team members based on priority.
• Turn over and prepare units between tenant occupancy.
• Complete property and apartment repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and HVAC.
• Conduct monthly budget analysis with the Property Manager.
• Manage and maintain a consistent preventative maintenance program.
• Perform exterior structural maintenance as needed.
• Manage coverage of a 24/7 emergency on-call system.
• Manage bids and plan major repairs from third-party vendors.
