About The Position

Monarch Investment and Management Group is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for Palo Duro Place Apartments, a multifamily housing community in Amarillo, Texas. The supervisor oversees maintenance work orders and team assignments, apartment turns, preventative maintenance, property repairs, emergency on-call coverage, and major repair bids and planning with third-party vendors. The role also includes monthly budget analysis with the Property Manager and hands-on maintenance work involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, HVAC, and appliances. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with an on-call rotation of one week every four weeks. A physical demonstration of basic job duties is required during the interview process. Pre-employment screening includes a criminal background check and drug screening.

Requirements

HVAC experience.
EPA certification.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 4 years of experience in the maintenance field.
Experience managing at least one employee.
Drywall, painting, and carpentry experience.
Experience with light plumbing and electrical work.
Working knowledge of appliances, including washers and dryers.
Ability to physically demonstrate basic job duties during the interview process.

Responsibilities

Ensure work orders are completed and assign them to team members according to priority.
Turn apartments and make units ready between tenant occupancy.
Complete property and apartment repairs involving plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, drywall, and HVAC.
Conduct monthly budget analysis with the Property Manager.
Manage and maintain a consistent preventative maintenance program.
Perform exterior structural maintenance as needed.
Manage coverage for a 24/7 emergency on-call system.
Manage bids and plan major repairs involving third-party vendors.
