About The Position

Clayton Homes is hiring a Maintenance Service Technician – Handyman to maintain and repair manufactured housing at a model home center in Benton, Kentucky. The role involves responding promptly to service calls, completing repairs thoroughly and on time, and providing customers with excellent service. The work includes general property maintenance, service requests, preventative care for HVAC and other systems, and repairs to exterior and roof damage. The position requires varied handyman skills and the ability to work in strenuous conditions, including extreme heat or cold and rain or snow. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Numerous and varied handyman skills.
Reliability, dependability, friendliness, a solid work ethic, and pride in work.

Commitment to high customer satisfaction.
Hand-eye coordination, physical strength, and ability to stoop, bend, lift, and climb.
Ability to lift and move items such as furniture, wallboard, and water heaters weighing up to 100 lbs.
Endurance to perform strenuous tasks.
Ability to safely climb ladders.
Ability to work in all environments, including extreme heat or cold and rain or snow.
Ability to work well in and contribute to a team environment.
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Ability to pass a criminal background check and post-offer drug screen.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance to maintain property appearance and condition.
Complete service requests.
Perform preventative care on HVAC and other systems.
Repair exterior and roof damage.
Respond promptly to service calls and complete repairs thoroughly and in a timely manner.
Provide excellent customer service and contribute to a cooperative team environment.
