About The Position

The Maintenance Service Technician—Handyman helps maintain a successful model home center by repairing common service problems associated with manufactured housing and providing responsive, high-quality customer service. The role involves varied handyman work, general property maintenance, preventative care, and repairs to exterior and roof damage.

The position requires reliability, organization, sound time-management and prioritization skills, effective communication, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. It involves physical work, including lifting, stooping, bending, and climbing, and may require working in extreme heat or cold and in rain or snow. The position is full-time and based in Georgetown, Kentucky. Starting pay is $24.00 per hour or higher depending on experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Numerous and varied handyman skills.
• Reliable, dependable, and friendly, with a solid work ethic and pride in work.
• Strong organization, time-management, and prioritization skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to a high level of customer satisfaction and strong customer relations skills.
• Ability to lift and move items such as furniture, wallboard, and water heaters weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance to perform strenuous tasks, including stooping, bending, lifting, and climbing.
• Ability to safely climb ladders.
• Ability to work in all environments, including extreme heat or cold and rain or snow.
• Ability to contribute to and work cooperatively and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and post-offer drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance to maintain property appearance and condition.
• Complete service requests.
• Perform preventative care on HVAC and other systems.
• Repair exterior and roof damage.
• Respond promptly to service calls and complete repairs thoroughly and in a timely manner.
• Assist with miscellaneous duties as required.
