The Maintenance Service Technician – Handyman supports a successful model home center by repairing common service problems associated with manufactured housing and helping maintain a positive reputation in the community. The technician responds promptly to service calls and completes repairs thoroughly and on time. The position offers an hourly wage starting at $24.00, or higher depending on experience, along with benefits and professional development opportunities. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Numerous and varied handyman skills.
• Ability to lift and move items such as furniture, wallboard, and water heaters weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Endurance to perform strenuous tasks.
• Ability to safely climb ladders.
• Ability to work in all environments, including extreme heat or cold, rain, and snow.
• Strong customer relations skills.
• Ability to excel in and contribute to a team environment.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and post-offer drug screen.
• Reliable, dependable, and friendly, with a solid work ethic and pride in work.
• Highly organized, with strong time-management and prioritization skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hand-eye coordination, physical strength, and ability to stoop, bend, lift, and climb.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance to maintain property appearance and condition.
• Complete service requests.
• Perform preventative care on HVAC and other systems.
• Repair exterior and roof damage.
• Respond promptly to service calls and complete repairs thoroughly and in a timely manner.
• Provide excellent customer service and contribute to customer satisfaction.
• Assist with miscellaneous duties as required.
