About The Position

The Maintenance Assistant helps maintain the hotel's physical functionality and safety, including guest rooms, public spaces, and heart-of-house areas. The role responds to guest service requests and team member work orders, performs maintenance and repairs across a range of building systems and trades, assists with preventive maintenance inspections, and documents completed work and issues needing further attention. The position is at the Hampton Inn & Suites Savannah Historic District.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the physical functionality and safety of guest rooms, public spaces, and heart-of-house areas.
• Quickly respond to guest service requests and team member work orders.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance involving carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and masonry.
• Inspect facilities and equipment to identify and address preventive maintenance needs.
• Record completed inspections and repairs and flag issues requiring further attention.
