About The Position
The Maintenance Aide ensures guest rooms, public spaces, and exterior grounds at the Residence Inn by Marriott remain safe, functional, and visually appealing. The role involves completing minor repairs, responding to guest-room work orders, maintaining exterior areas, checking pool and spa chemical levels, and assisting other hotel teams when needed. The ideal candidate is dependable, hands-on, proactive, and able to interact with guests in a friendly, professional manner.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and stand or bend for long intervals.
- Strong communication skills and a guest-first attitude.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair minor plumbing, basic electrical, carpentry, and painting issues.
- Respond promptly to work orders involving lighting, PTAC/HVAC units, drywall, and furniture adjustments.
- Maintain hotel exteriors, walkways, and trash areas for safety and curb appeal.
- Check and adjust pool and spa chemical levels daily to meet safety standards.
- Assist housekeeping or front office teams with heavy lifting, room resets, and facility emergencies as needed.
