About The Position
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for inspecting, washing, folding, and storing laundered supplies for guest rooms and food and beverage departments. The role includes maintaining clean, orderly laundry equipment and areas, and organized linen storage. The attendant may also gather linen from room attendants’ carts, load laundry chemicals, or clean guest rooms as needed, and performs other tasks assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Executive Housekeeper. The position requires completion of all company- and brand-required training. Responsibilities
- Inspect linens for special handling requirements or discard.
- Sort linens in preparation for washing.
- Load washers and dryers according to specifications.
- Fold and stack bed linen using the two-fold method.
- Fold and stack other linen according to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and orderly laundry area and equipment.
- Maintain organized linen storage to support issuance and inventory.
- Load laundry chemicals, as needed.
- Gather linen from Room Attendants’ carts, as needed.
- Clean guest rooms, as needed.
- Complete all company- and brand-required training.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Executive Housekeeper.
