About The Position

The Laundry Attendant inspects, washes, folds, and stores laundered supplies for guest rooms and food and beverage departments. The role includes sorting and handling linens, operating washers and dryers according to specifications, maintaining laundry equipment and the laundry area, and keeping linen storage organized for issuance and inventory. The attendant may load laundry chemicals, collect linens from Room Attendant carts, and clean guest rooms as needed. Additional duties may be assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Executive Housekeeper. The role also requires completing all company- and brand-required training.

Requirements

• Dependable work background.
• High school diploma desired.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming linen for special handling requirements or discard.
• Sort linens in preparation for washing.
• Load washers and dryers according to specifications.
• Fold and stack bed linen using the two-fold method.
• Fold and stack other linen according to specifications.
• Keep the laundry area and equipment clean and orderly.
• Maintain organized linen storage for ease of issuance and inventory.
• Load laundry chemicals as needed.
• Gather linen from Room Attendant carts as needed.
• Clean guest rooms as requested.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Executive Housekeeper.
• Complete all company- and brand-required training.
