About The Position

The Laundry Attendant inspects, washes, folds, and stores laundered supplies for guest rooms and food and beverage departments. The role includes sorting and processing linens, maintaining laundry equipment and the laundry area, and keeping linen storage organized for issuance and inventory. The attendant may also handle laundry chemicals, collect linens from room attendants’ carts, and clean guest rooms as needed. The position completes all company- and brand-required training and performs other tasks assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Executive Housekeeper.

Requirements

• A dependable work background.
• High school diploma desired.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming linen for special handling requirements or discard.
• Sort linens in preparation for washing.
• Load washers according to specifications.
• Load dryers according to specifications.
• Fold and stack bed linen using the two-fold method.
• Fold and stack other linen according to specifications.
• Keep the laundry area and equipment clean and orderly.
• Maintain organized linen storage to support issuance and inventory.
• May load laundry chemicals.
• May gather linen from Room Attendants’ carts as needed.
• May clean guest rooms as needed.
• Complete all company- and brand-required training.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Executive Housekeeper.
