Machine Operator - $500 Sign-On Bonus
About The Position
Vestcom, a standalone business unit of Avery Dennison, is hiring a Label Machine Operator for its production team. The operator is responsible for setting up and operating label machines, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring products meet high-quality standards. The role emphasizes meeting daily deadlines with a zero-defect mindset, diagnosing malfunctions and addressing root causes, accurately recording materials and time in the ERP system, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. The starting hiring rate is $18 per hour, with a shift differential for night shifts. A $500 sign-on bonus is offered. Potential schedules include Sunday–Tuesday and part of Wednesday, or part of Wednesday and Thursday–Saturday, on either day or night shifts.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- One to two years of related experience and/or training.
- Strong mechanical skills to analyze and operate label machine equipment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate label machines to meet daily production deadlines while maintaining a zero-defect mindset.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and find root-cause solutions.
- Monitor close tolerances.
- Use the ERP system to accurately log materials and time.
