About The Position

The Painter applies paint, stain, and other finishes to property walls, ceilings, and furniture using brushes, spray guns, or rollers. The role prepares new surfaces with primers or sealers and removes old finishes using methods such as stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or water and abrasive blasting. The Painter protects surfaces during work, posts paint signs, cleans and stores tools and equipment, and coordinates with vendors to modify paint, stain, or varnish colors. The position requires following company and safety policies and procedures, reporting maintenance problems and safety issues, and completing required training and certifications. The Painter maintains a clean and professional appearance, protects confidential information and company property, and provides courteous guest service. The role involves supporting team goals, meeting quality standards, performing physical tasks, and completing other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Requirements

At least 1 year of related work experience.
Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, bend, twist, pull, stoop, and move up and down a ladder.
Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.

Responsibilities

Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and furniture using brushes, spray guns, or rollers.
Apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces for finish coats.
Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or using water and/or abrasive blasting.
Protect surfaces during painting and post appropriate paint signs.
Clean and store paint and painting tools and equipment in appropriate areas.
Coordinate with vendors to modify colors of paint, stain, or varnish.
Follow company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report maintenance problems, hazards, accidents, or injuries; and complete safety training and certifications.
Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and provide guest service according to company standards.
Communicate clearly and professionally, support team goals, and meet quality expectations and standards.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
