About The Position

The Machine Operator operates equipment in one or more value streams of Florist operations and produces valuable, defect-free products that meet or exceed customer expectations. Success in the position requires executing standard work and adhering to company policies. This is a 12-hour day-shift position, scheduled from 5:50 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the manufacturing plant at 2230 W. Florist Ave. in Glendale, Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

Weigh and mix raw materials according to batch instructions.
Work with hazardous materials using engineering controls and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Learn and contribute to Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Set up, clean, safely operate, and perform operator-level maintenance on assigned production equipment.
Identify and maintain quality standards while meeting daily and weekly production goals.
Understand and follow established standard work documents.
Adjust production equipment as necessary.
Communicate production performance to appropriate leaders and departments.
Support area continuous improvement goals by serving on project teams as required.
Adhere to Brady’s attendance, safety, and other company policies.
Maintain general housekeeping and clean production areas at the end of every shift.
Support other production areas as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
