About The Position

The Machine Operator operates equipment in one or more value streams of Florist operations and is responsible for producing valuable, defect-free products that meet or exceed customer expectations. Success in the role requires executing standard work and adhering to company policies. The position includes handling and mixing raw materials, operating and maintaining assigned production equipment, meeting quality and production goals, communicating performance, supporting continuous improvement, and maintaining clean production areas.

Requirements

• Willingness and ability to learn and contribute to Lean/5S/continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to follow batch instructions, standard work documents, safety requirements, and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Weigh and mix raw materials according to batch instructions.
• Work with hazardous materials using engineering controls and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform production equipment setup, cleanup, safe operation, and operator-level maintenance.
• Identify and maintain quality standards while meeting daily and weekly production goals.
• Follow established standard work documents.
• Make adjustments to production equipment as necessary.
• Communicate production performance to appropriate leaders and departments.
• Support continuous improvement goals, including serving on project teams as required.
• Follow Brady’s attendance, safety, and other company policies.
• Maintain general housekeeping and clean production areas at the end of every shift.
• Provide support in other production areas as needed and perform other assigned duties.
• Learn and contribute to Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
