About The Position

The Machine Operator operates equipment in one or more value streams of the Florist operations, producing valuable, defect-free products that meet or exceed customer expectations. The role requires executing standard work and following company policies. The position is located at the manufacturing plant at 2230 W. Florist Ave in Glendale, Wisconsin. The posting describes the schedule as 12-hour positions running 5:50 a.m.–6:00 p.m., while also calling them “night shift” positions.

Requirements

Willingness and ability to learn and contribute to Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Ability to work with hazardous materials using engineering controls and PPE.

Responsibilities

Weigh and mix raw materials according to batch instructions.
Work with hazardous materials using engineering controls and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Set up, clean, safely operate, and perform operator-level maintenance on assigned production equipment.
Identify and maintain quality standards while meeting daily and weekly production goals.
Understand and follow established standard work documents.
Adjust production equipment as necessary.
Communicate production performance to appropriate leaders and departments.
Support continuous improvement area goals, including serving on project teams as required.
Follow Brady’s attendance, safety, and other company policies.
Maintain general housekeeping and clean production areas at the end of each shift.
Provide support within other production areas as needed and perform other assigned duties.
