About The Position

The Machine Operator operates equipment in one or more value streams of Florist operations and produces defect-free products that meet or exceed customer expectations. Success in the role involves following standard work and company policies, meeting production and quality goals, and supporting continuous improvement. The operator weighs and mixes raw materials according to batch instructions and works with hazardous materials using engineering controls and personal protective equipment (PPE). The role also includes setting up, cleaning, safely operating, and performing operator-level maintenance on assigned equipment.

Requirements

Willingness and ability to learn and contribute to Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Adherence to company attendance, safety, and other policies.

Responsibilities

Weigh and mix raw materials according to batch instructions.
Work with hazardous materials using engineering controls and PPE.
Set up, clean, safely operate, and perform operator-level maintenance on assigned equipment.
Identify and maintain quality standards while meeting daily and weekly production goals.
Follow established standard work documents and company policies.
Adjust production equipment as necessary.
Communicate production performance to appropriate leaders and departments.
Support continuous improvement goals, including serving on project teams as required.
Maintain general housekeeping and clean production areas at the end of every shift.
Provide support in other production areas as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
