About The Position

This is a benefited, full-time position (80 hours per pay period) at Scripps Coastal Medical Center in Oceanside. The position generally works Monday through Friday during standard hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Supervisor of Clinical Operations shares leadership responsibilities for nursing staff, including LVNs and MAs, under the general direction of the Manager/Director. The role supports clinic operations, patient care quality and safety, clinical staff development, and operational and budget management.

Requirements

At least two years of applicable clinical experience.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, team development, planning, and follow-through skills.
Ability to exercise authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.
Current California LVN license.
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

Manage daily staffing for assigned clinic operations.
Ensure nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and promotes a culture of patient safety.
Support safe patient transitions through the continuum of care, including nursing staff participation in care planning and coordination and direct hand-off to the next appropriate level of care.
Share leadership responsibilities for nursing staff, including LVNs and MAs, and manage daily staffing plans.
Manage and maintain schedules for optimal efficiency.
Partner with Management and Physicians to support quality and efficiency in patient-care management.
Manage and develop clinical staff.
Contribute to operations management of assigned business units.
Participate in budget planning and management.
Take proactive initiative in quality management.
