About The Position

This is a 14-bed overflow unit for several months to accommodate our ED boarder patients. This will be a med/surg tele unit. It will be a flex space inside our GI Endoscopy space so the number of patients may increase or decrease depending on demand/boarder numbers. RNs need to have a mandatory competency with phlebotomy as well as placing IVs as this is a required skill for any RN at Unity. LPN: May not assume assignment and act as resource in GIOF or med/surg. May be utilized as PCT.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience required
• EPIC required
• BLS certification
• Mandatory competency with phlebotomy and placing IVs (for RNs)
• Ability to float
• Willingness to work every other weekend
• Minimal RTO requests

Nice To Haves

• Previous Charge Experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Act as PCT
• Float to care for MS patients
• Provide verbal report for transfers/admissions
• Utilize SBAR for ED patients
