About The Position

Sprout is a global IT hardware retirement provider serving hyperscaler and enterprise clients through IT asset disposition, certified destruction, and responsible recycling solutions. ITAD Operators identify, sort, reconcile, and de-manufacture IT assets in accordance with Sprout’s operational and environmental standards. Operators advance through Levels 1 to 4 based on experience and demonstrated skills.

The LV4 ITAD Operator role requires advanced technical knowledge of ITAD processes and troubleshooting, mastery of data sanitization and diagnostic tools, and the ability to conduct process, compliance, and inventory-control audits. The role also supports continuous improvement using Lean methodologies, mentors and trains operators at all levels, and backs up the Team Lead in day-to-day operations.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of ITAD or reverse logistics experience.
• Proven expertise in Lean/Six Sigma.
• Advanced technical knowledge of ITAD processes and troubleshooting.
• Leadership experience and the ability to manage special projects independently.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for an entire 8-hour shift.
• Willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends if needed.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous exposure to Lean at levels 3 and 4.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and categorize IT assets and consumer electronics.
• Safely transport materials across the site.
• Keep workstations and stock areas organized.
• Disassemble IT assets into constituent parts for recycling or disposal.
• Adhere to operational procedures.
• Follow safety protocols and data security procedures, including R2v3 and ISO 27001 requirements.
• Master data sanitization and maintain a policy of zero data escapes.
• Master all diagnostic tools.
• Perform audits related to process, compliance, and inventory control.
• Use Lean methodologies to drive process improvements.
• Train and mentor operators at all levels.
• Back up the Team Lead in day-to-day operations.
