About The Position

As a Food & Beverage Runner at Mandalay Bay, you will help deliver an exceptional dining experience through prompt, polished, and attentive service. You will share knowledge of culinary offerings, anticipate guest needs, and work closely with the service team to create an inviting atmosphere and memorable guest experiences.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Six or more months of prior relevant experience in a similar environment.
• Experience working in a similar resort setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome.
• Deliver food from the kitchen to the table according to the sequence of service and directions from the Chef or kitchen expediter.
• Describe dishes when placing them on the table and answer guest questions about the food.
• Describe menu features, including changes and additions, as needed.
• Communicate with the expediter to ensure food is delivered to the correct table and position.
• Perform assigned opening and closing side work.
• Communicate guest needs to the kitchen and management, relay guest comments to management, and assist with smooth operations and quality service.
• Check the dining area, tables, and chairs for cleanliness and maintain an organized station and service area.
