About The Position

As an Apprentice Bartender at Mandalay Bay, you will assist the bartender and maintain the appearance of the bar. You will help create a welcoming guest experience by understanding guests’ needs and providing service that creates memorable experiences.

Requirements

• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the bartender with preparing drinks, mixes, and garnishes.
• Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the bar area.
• Maintain sufficient stock of items and products in designated work areas.
• Set up, label, stock, and deliver alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, supplies, glasses, paper products, garnishes, and ice.
• Clean equipment, tools, and supplies; polish glassware; and ensure equipment is in working order.
• Perform opening and closing duties according to shift assignment.
• Provide a high level of service, remain alert to guests’ needs, and respond effectively to guest inquiries.
• Resolve guest complaints within the scope of authority; otherwise refer them to management.
• Notify a supervisor and/or Security of unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
