About The Position

As a Special Events Coordinator at Mandalay Bay, you will help design, plan, and produce corporate, social, and property events for internal and external guests. You will turn event concepts into polished experiences, ensuring events are executed seamlessly, on schedule, and in line with budget expectations. The role involves coordinating event activities with property and corporate teams, vendors, and marketing groups.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in guest experience or event planning.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing property casino events, including developing event concepts and themes, managing the creative process for invitations and collateral, and applying consistent best practices.
• Collaborate with corporate and property staff on entertainment, décor, and themes for Chinese New Year Galas.
• Coordinate pre-production, production, and post-event activities under the direction of the Special Events Manager, including overseeing installation, placement, and removal of event items such as signage and décor.
• Communicate with properties and departments through inter-office memos and other correspondence to coordinate event tasks and process improvements.
• Coordinate with vendors on entertainment, talent fees, contracts, bids, photography, gifts, décor, linen, staff uniforms, and transportation.
• Provide feedback and coordinate event marketing efforts among Casino Marketing teams, property Special Events teams, and brand marketing and creative services.
• Support and implement enterprise-wide standards based on approved Events Center of Excellence efficiencies.
• Maintain and update the marketing portal with event details, including criteria, schedules, prize structures, and earning criteria.
