Bar Porter - Mandalay Bay
About The Position
As a Bar Porter at Mandalay Bay, you will help beverage venues operate smoothly and support an exceptional guest experience. You will keep bars stocked and maintained, replenish glassware and beverage essentials, and support bartending teams in creating a polished atmosphere. The position involves stocking beverage outlets and maintaining inventory; cleaning and sanitizing beverage areas and assigned equipment; completing bar-transfer and dry-stock delivery paperwork; maintaining liquor, beer, and supply levels; setting up and breaking down portable bars; and organizing pump rooms, storage areas, and warehouses. You will use designated freight elevators and delivery routes, report unusual events or missing items, and address guest complaints within your authority or refer them to management.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Stock and serve assigned beverage outlets, maintaining inventory levels of glassware, condiments, packaged beverages, paper products, and other necessary items.
- Clean and maintain beverage areas and assigned bar equipment, including trash removal, deep cleaning, sanitation, cleaning refrigerators and countertops, and mopping floors.
- Complete required paperwork, including bar transfers and dry-stock deliveries.
- Maintain par levels of liquor, beer, and supplies in coolers and dry storage, and order items as needed.
- Set up and break down portable bars in designated areas.
- Use the correct freight elevators and delivery routes to designated hotel areas and beverage outlets.
- Organize and maintain beverage pump rooms, products, storage rooms, and warehouses; identify non-stock items and alert management as necessary.
- Resolve guest complaints within the scope of authority or refer them to management.
- Notify a supervisor and/or Security of unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested.
