About The Position

The Lottery Retail Clerk provides customer service, operates lottery and retail sales systems, handles transactions, and helps maintain store operations. The role also serves as a Direct Support Professional, working alongside individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a supportive employment environment. The clerk provides guidance and encouragement as individuals develop vocational, social, workplace, and independent living skills.

Requirements

• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
• Ability to pass required background checks.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Retail, customer service, or cashier experience preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to all customers.
• Operate lottery terminals and process lottery ticket sales.
• Accurately handle cash, credit card, and other transactions.
• Maintain inventory and stock merchandise as needed.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and welcoming.
• Assist customers with questions about products and lottery services.
• Work alongside individuals with developmental disabilities in a supportive employment environment.
• Provide coaching, encouragement, and hands-on assistance to individuals as needed.
• Promote independence, workplace skills, and positive social interactions.
• Help ensure a safe and inclusive environment for customers and individuals served.
• Complete required documentation and reports accurately and on time.
