About The Position

As a Loss Prevention Supervisor, you will improve company profitability by executing programs focused on external theft deterrence, internal investigations, and operational shortage. You will increase associate awareness of shortage opportunities through training, lead and influence teams to reduce shortage, and build partnerships with store and company leaders, law enforcement, and local network groups.

The role includes identifying theft trends, executing prevention strategies, implementing store awareness programs, conducting operational audits and physical security inspections, and partnering with store personnel to address improvement opportunities. You will recruit and train Loss Prevention Associates, lead and supervise Loss Prevention Officers and Loss Prevention Service Specialists at select locations, maintain customer service awareness, and represent Kohl’s in legal proceedings as needed. You may also be assigned additional tasks.

The position requires regular attendance and the ability to work at least eight hours per day, five days per week, and occasionally longer when business needs require. Responsibilities include working across multiple stores and/or a district market, using a computer for communication and case narratives, and wearing a body camera as part of daily duties. Nice To Haves

• Prior experience or background in Loss Prevention, security, law enforcement, or retail.
• Knowledge of surveillance and basic CCTV systems.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn Google Suite and other computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Identify external and internal theft trends within assigned location(s).

• Implement store awareness programs addressing theft, safety, inventory, and shortage control.
• Identify and communicate potential shortage opportunities to all leaders.
• Conduct operational audits and physical security inspections to ensure compliance with Kohl’s policies and procedures.
• Partner with store personnel to address opportunities for improvement.
• Help create a culture of honesty and an impression of control in the store.
• Recruit and train new Loss Prevention Associates.
• Lead and supervise Loss Prevention Officers and Loss Prevention Service Specialists at select locations.
• Maintain customer service awareness.
• Represent Kohl’s in legal proceedings as needed.
• Plan, prioritize, and monitor activities across multiple stores and/or a district market.
• Complete or oversee assigned projects in a timely manner.
• Wear a body camera as part of daily responsibilities.
