Loss Prevention Customer Service Associate II
About The Position
Supports the District Loss Prevention Manager and Store Management by carrying out core loss-prevention responsibilities, including serving as a visual deterrent to potential loss or dishonesty and wearing a body-worn camera. Supports a positive customer shopping experience and maintains a strong partnership with store teams and loss prevention. Uses sound judgment to protect personal safety, the safety of others, and the Company brand. Follows Company policies and supports its culture and values. The role is based at TJ Maxx Store 0464 in Norfolk, Virginia. The starting pay range is USD $13.50 to $18.60 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. Benefits are subject to applicable plan terms and may change.
Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound decision-making skills.
- Ability to take initiative and perform well independently.
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload and manage time effectively.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- 0–2 years of retail or security experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a proper, professional stance in the designated area at the front of the store.
- Act as a visual deterrent to potential loss or dishonesty.
- Review and understand the Store Emergency Response Guide.
- Wear a complete Company-approved uniform, including a body-worn camera.
- Greet customers appropriately and demonstrate courtesy and respect.
- Establish and maintain a position at the front of the store or in a department.
- Respond to customer requests for assistance by referring customers to store management or customer service using a Company-issued radio.
- Observe and report suspicious behavior or critical incidents to Loss Prevention or store management.
- Perform a closing safety sweep of the store with a member of management.
- Adhere to Company policies and procedures.
- Document required incidents in AIIM Case Management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
