About The Position

Allen Lund Company is seeking a Logistics Coordinator II to join its fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The role includes special training and expertise development to prepare employees for advancement to Transportation Broker or Account/Carrier Representative. The coordinator supports customer and carrier development, brokerage operations, administrative and compliance tasks, and company systems while delivering strong customer service.

Responsibilities

Develop and increase profitable volume with existing and newly acquired shippers.
Contact and build relationships with new customers and carriers.
Increase capacity for specific projects and lanes and support overall office and company capacity.
Build relationships to understand customers’ businesses and solve their problems.
Build loads and set up carriers.
Schedule pickup and delivery appointments and update customer systems.
Contact carriers about lanes, equipment types, and quantities.
Deliver exceptional customer service.
Issue Com-checks and Quick pays and support accounting as needed.
Ensure proper documentation is sent to Carrier Resources and contact insurance companies to obtain appropriate certificates of insurance.
Verify carrier information through online applications.
Follow company principles of Customer, Company, and Office.
Answer phones, open and sort mail, and perform general office duties.
Complete ALC system training as required.
Update active load information in the system for shipper and carrier tracking.
Develop industry knowledge regarding product compatibility, shipping requirements, and temperature requirements.
