About The Position

Mariner Finance is hiring a Loan Sales Associate to provide customer service and support lending activities at an assigned branch. The role involves understanding customers’ needs, presenting loan solutions and sales products, processing applications, reviewing credit and financial information, and helping customers resolve past-due balances. The associate also supports branch operations by handling cash and payments, making deposits, and meeting individual and branch sales goals. The employee must work at the assigned branch location, except in an emergency as determined by the company.

The regular schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM; and Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Saturday work is required seasonally and as business needs require. The company may change schedules to address business needs, and hours depend on the business hours of the time zone served.

The role is eligible for a monthly incentive based on individual and company performance. The posted base pay range is USD $18.00–$21.00 per hour. Mariner Finance states that full-time employees receive a benefits package and directs applicants to its benefits website for details.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a customer service or sales position.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar programs, and ability to learn financial services programs.
• Ability to complete essential duties and functions in a timely and accurate manner.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and interpersonal skills in demanding situations.
• Obtain applicable required licenses to sell insurance products offered to customers by the branch.
• Perform work-related tasks at the assigned branch location except in the event of a company-determined emergency.

Nice To Haves

• Cash handling, selling, and/or collecting experience.
• Some college coursework.
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by proactively solving problems, presenting loan solutions based on customer needs, and presenting available sales products.
• Process credit loan applications.
• Analyze credit and financial information for current and potential customers.
• Contact customers with past-due balances to offer possible solutions and resolve delinquency.
• Meet or exceed individual and branch goals related to sales of company products and services.
• Learn and follow applicable Federal, State, and Local consumer application laws.
• Maintain a cash drawer, process payments, and deliver daily deposits to specified financial institutions as required.
• Perform additional functions as needed based on market demand and branch staffing to provide consistent customer service.
