About The Position

Mariner Finance is hiring a customer-facing, sales-oriented Loan Sales Associate for its branch team. The role involves understanding customers’ financial needs, presenting lending solutions, managing account relationships, developing business through outbound calls, and contributing to branch performance. The position is suited to a motivated, coachable, competitive, and team-oriented person who can work in a fast-paced environment and handle challenging customer conversations professionally. The associate consults with customers, processes loan applications, gathers financial information, explains loan terms and products, supports account concerns and payment arrangements, and helps maintain accurate branch records and cash operations. The position requires physical presence in the office. The company may change the work schedule to meet business needs; hours also depend on the business hours of the time zone serviced. Saturday work may be required seasonally and as business needs require.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in a sales position.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Highly motivated, with an interest in the consumer finance industry.
Able to sustain or exceed individual sales goals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Able to leverage and learn new sales platforms and technologies.
Able to complete functions in a timely manner while maintaining accuracy.
Must be able to obtain any essential licenses required by the state.
Able to perform the essential duties and functions of the position satisfactorily.

Nice To Haves

1 year of outbound calling experience.
Experience in lending, consumer loans, or collections.
Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

Make outbound calls to develop business, follow up on opportunities, and support account relationships.
Support branch growth by meeting or exceeding individual and branch performance goals.
Build relationships with current and potential customers through respectful, solution-focused communication.
Consult with customers to understand their needs and identify appropriate lending options.
Process loan applications and gather required credit, income, and financial information.
Present loan solutions and available products clearly, confidently, and compliantly.
Educate customers on loan terms, payment expectations, account requirements, and available services.
Help customers resolve account concerns, make payment arrangements, and stay on track.
Positively impact customer service, credit quality, and branch profitability.
Process payments, maintain accurate records, support cash drawer responsibilities, and assist with daily operations.
Learn Federal, State, and Local Application Consumer laws to ensure compliant actions.
Maintain a cash drawer, including processing payments and delivering daily deposits to specified financial institutions as required.
Perform additional functions depending on market demand and branch staffing to provide consistent quality customer service.
