About The Position

Visiting Angels of Wichita Falls is hiring Live-in Home Health Aides to serve clients across the local area, including Vernon, Wichita Falls, Seymour, Bowie, Graham, and Quanah. Aides help improve clients’ quality of life and support their wellness in accordance with individualized care plans. The role may include personal care, mobility assistance, meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, medication reminders, errands, and responding to emergencies. The organization offers opportunities for advanced training in areas such as dementia and Alzheimer’s care.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle for transporting clients.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
First Aid and emergency response training; training is provided if needed.
Excellent time-management skills and ability to manage multiple duties.
Reliable transportation to and from client homes at scheduled times.
Physical endurance for carrying groceries and physically supporting clients.
Comfort performing housekeeping and cooking duties while following dietary constraints.
Ability and willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards, including a background check.
Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten clients’ days.

Responsibilities

Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
Assist clients with light physical exercise or walks.
Plan and prepare meals with clients, adhering to applicable dietary constraints.
Handle light housekeeping duties.
Report health changes or unusual incidents.
Provide pleasant, supportive companionship.
Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
Remind clients to take prescription medications appropriately.
Assist with mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments or errands.
