About The Position

24-MAG LLC is seeking experienced U.S. litigators and practicing attorneys to contribute to advanced AI training and evaluation initiatives. The engagement focuses on legal reasoning, litigation strategy, legal writing, and complex case analysis. Contributors will evaluate AI-generated legal work, identify factual and legal weaknesses, exercise expert judgment on ambiguous cases, and develop examples that strengthen AI performance across litigation and legal-practice scenarios. No prior AI experience is required. The work may involve reviewing briefs, arguments, memoranda, and other litigation-related materials; drafting and editing sample legal language; calibrating judgments on nuanced or legally ambiguous scenarios; and providing detailed written feedback to interdisciplinary project teams. Assignments vary according to research and evaluation needs and are primarily completed asynchronously. This is an independent-contractor engagement open to U.S.-based contributors and pays $100–$180 per hour. Contributors must not use confidential, privileged, sealed, client-specific, work-product-protected, or otherwise restricted third-party information.

  • Federal court admissions are valuable.
  • Appellate-practice experience enhances candidacy.
  • Law journal editorial experience or published legal-writing experience is advantageous.
  • Prior law-school teaching, adjunct, lecturer, fellow, or comparable instructional experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Apply litigation experience to complex legal scenarios.
  • Evaluate the strength and coherence of legal arguments against applicable legal principles.

  • Provide detailed recommendations for improving legal outputs.
  • Draft and edit sample legal language and develop clear, persuasive legal arguments.
  • Improve the structure, precision, and analytical clarity of legal writing and create examples across varied litigation scenarios.
  • Evaluate nuanced and legally ambiguous edge cases, distinguish supportable conclusions from uncertain outcomes, and explain competing legal interpretations where appropriate.
  • Apply calibrated judgment to fact-sensitive scenarios and support consistent evaluation of difficult legal questions.
  • Provide precise written feedback and explain legal reasoning to interdisciplinary project teams.
  • Incorporate iterative feedback and collaborate asynchronously across project workflows.
  • Maintain consistent professional standards and provide detailed reasoning rather than conclusory assessments.
  • Complete all work without using confidential, privileged, sealed, client-specific, work-product-protected, or otherwise restricted information belonging to a third party.
