Litigation Defense Attorney (Full-Time) (Hybrid in San Fran, CA)
About The Position
A full-service national law firm with more than 250 attorneys across 16 offices and over 25 practice areas is seeking an attorney to join its growing litigation team. The attorney will manage litigation matters from inception through resolution and work collaboratively with partners and litigation teams. The role offers meaningful responsibility, hands-on litigation experience, and opportunities for long-term career growth. The position follows a hybrid schedule in San Francisco, California, and offers a base salary of $150,000–$200,000. Experience in Labor & Employment, Professional Liability, and/or Commercial Litigation is preferred; experience handling legal malpractice, accounting malpractice, and other professional liability matters is highly preferred.
Requirements
- Admission to practice in California.
- A minimum of 4 years of litigation experience.
- Excellent written, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
- Strong organizational and case management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic litigation environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Labor & Employment, Professional Liability, and/or Commercial Litigation.
- Experience handling legal malpractice, accounting malpractice, and other professional liability matters is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
- Draft and respond to written discovery.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Prepare motions, briefs, and other substantive pleadings.
- Participate in court appearances, hearings, mediations, and oral arguments.
- Communicate directly with clients and provide strategic case updates.
- Collaborate with partners and litigation teams on complex matters.
- Assist with all aspects of litigation strategy and case management.
