About The Position

Wilson Elser is seeking a Litigation Defense Associate Attorney for its Milwaukee office. The attorney will support defense litigation matters, working closely with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and progress. The role includes discovery, motion practice, court appearances, depositions, mediations, legal research, and trial preparation. Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Admission to practice law in Wisconsin.
At least 2 years of defense litigation experience.
Experience handling general liability and insurance defense matters.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to integrate into a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

Client-facing experience preferred.
Aviation industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist with and respond to written discovery, including drafting interrogatories, requests for production, and substantive responses.
Draft pretrial motions.
Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to develop case strategy and move matters forward.
Conduct thorough, strategic legal research to support case analysis and motion practice.
Support trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibit development, and coordination of trial materials.
