Employment & Commercial Litigation Attorney / Associate
About The Position
Offit Kurman is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate to join its growing practice in the Dallas area. The role focuses primarily on employment litigation, with additional opportunities to handle commercial disputes. The attorney will represent both employers and employees in employment matters and handle a range of commercial litigation cases. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Collins County. The ideal candidate is a hands-on litigator who enjoys managing cases, taking depositions, appearing in court, and working directly with clients. Trial experience is welcome but not required.
Requirements
- Approximately 5 or more years of litigation experience.
- Experience handling depositions and taking an active role in litigation proceedings.
- Strong research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage cases independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Comfort working in a collaborative, in-office environment.
Nice To Haves
- Trial experience is welcome but not required.
Responsibilities
- Manage employment and commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Prepare for and conduct depositions.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents.
- Represent clients in hearings, court proceedings, injunction matters, and other contested proceedings.
- Develop litigation strategies and work directly with clients.
- Handle matters independently while collaborating with senior attorneys on more complex cases.
