About The Position

The Liquor Store Assistant Manager 1 supports the daily operation of a Fine Wine & Good Spirits store at Noblestown Road in Pittsburgh. Working closely with the General Manager, the assistant manager helps lead and develop employees, support sales, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure high standards of store presentation and customer service. The position is full-time, with work hours that vary and total 75 hours biweekly. Telework is not available.

Requirements

Meet one of the following minimum experience and training requirements: one year as a Liquor Store Clerk 2; two years as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk; or one year of lead retail sales work.
Meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement.
Be able to perform the essential job functions.
Pass a background investigation. Applicants with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective employment date are not permitted to work for the PLCB; other criminal convictions are reviewed case by case.

Responsibilities

Supervise store activities during assigned shifts and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Assign work, inspect completed tasks, motivate employees, and provide direction to staff.
Receive shipments, stock merchandise, and assist customers with product selection.
Address customer questions, resolve concerns, and promote a positive shopping experience.
Help maintain accurate stock levels, organized displays, and store records.
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while handling products safely.
