About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager provides leadership support in the General Manager’s absence and balances client-facing work with leadership initiatives, sales coaching, training, and talent acquisition. In close partnership with the General Manager, the role supports achievement of store sales goals, builds client relationships, and educates clients on the stories and details behind the products. The position reports to the General Manager. The store is open daily, Sunday through Saturday, and weekend and holiday availability is required.

Requirements

• Ability to build relationships and trust with direct reports, peers, and studio clientele.
• Proficiency with MS Office software, web navigation, and 3-D rendering programs.
• Ability to routinely move objects weighing more than 40 pounds and understand safety requirements.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Retail management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Grow the business weekly by using company programs and tools to manage the full client lifecycle and meet or exceed sales goals.
• Help maintain the store’s design and visual standards according to merchandising guidelines.
• Create client floor plans and design presentations.
• Travel for in-home client consultations and visits to local trade professionals.
• Attend store meetings and product training, and use the company website and catalog to build product and design knowledge and industry awareness.
• Directly manage Sales Assistants and Studio Interns.
• Provide leadership support in the General Manager’s absence.
• Support leadership initiatives, sales coaching, training, and talent acquisition.
