About The Position

The Line Server is responsible for the final preparation of food items served in the food-service area, following applicable federal, state, and local standards and regulations as well as company policies and procedures. The role may be directed by a kitchen supervisor, relief manager, or team leader to help ensure quality service. The position is at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. It is full-time, with days and hours that may vary; availability for nights and weekends is required. The fixed pay rate is $19.28 per hour. Previous front-of-house experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service with one-on-one attention to detail.
• Participate in preparing and serving food and beverage items in accordance with company standards for presentation, sanitation, safety, and portion control, including HACCP and OSHA guidelines.
• Clean the work area and equipment used in food preparation and service.
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures.
• Deliver food items to and from the main kitchen.
• Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for residents, self, and staff.
• Cooperate with staff from other departments in performing job duties.
• Contribute to the team and exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
