About The Position

Responsible for the final preparation of food items served in the food-service area, following applicable federal, state, and local standards and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. The role may take direction from a kitchen supervisor, relief manager, or team leader to ensure quality service. Positions are available full time and part time at Berkshire School in Sheffield, Massachusetts. Days and hours may vary; details will be provided during the interview. Previous experience is not required.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive, detail-oriented customer service.
Participate in preparing and serving food and beverages according to company standards for presentation, sanitation, safety, and portion control, including HACCP and OSHA guidelines.
Clean the work area and equipment used in food preparation and service.
Follow safety and sanitation procedures.
Transport food items to and from the main kitchen.
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents, self, and staff.
Cooperate with staff from other departments in performing job duties.
Contribute to the team and act professionally with customers, coworkers, and others.
Perform other duties as assigned.
