A LINE COOK is responsible for preparing high-quality dishes according to our restaurant standards while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a line cook in a restaurant setting is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency in food preparation
  • Understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a multicultural and diverse team
  • Team player and positive attitude
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 20 + lbs
  • Excellent communication and multitasking skills
  • Comply with health and safety codes
  • Ability to acquire a California Food Handlers license and Sexual Harassment Certification (before or within 30 days of hiring)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook all menu items in accordance standards set by Executive Chef
  • Follow restaurant recipes and plating guidelines to ensure consistency and quality
  • Be a team player and work together with your team to foster a healthy and warm atmosphere
  • Assist with food prep, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats and making sauces
  • Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored and organized
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure a smooth service period
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and workstations
  • Follow safety and health regulations in compliance with restaurant policies
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings and fill in for absent staff as needed
