About The Position

El Rio Golf Course in Tucson, Arizona, is hiring a part-time Cook / Line Cook to assist the Chef/Kitchen Manager with preparing food for all food outlets on the property. The role also involves food-preparation tasks and maintaining kitchen sanitation and cleanliness as directed by the Chef/Kitchen Manager. The Cook / Line Cook must follow procedural guidelines established by the Food Service and Safety Department.

Requirements

• One to two years of cooking experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Flexible schedule and ability to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Learn and maintain food-production and quality standards.
• Expedite orders in a timely manner.
• Practice operational sanitation.
• Execute scheduled banquet functions.
• Maintain professional relationships with fellow associates.
• Help reduce loss and waste.
• Communicate equipment repair needs to the chef.
• Participate in training efforts.
• Incorporate safe work practices into job performance.
• Check and date deliveries and report variances to the chef in charge.
• Verify coolers are at proper temperatures and clean them daily.
• Process inventory requisitions and receive supplies as needed for quality production.
• Prepare appropriate food quantities according to production or forecast sheets and production plans.
• Prepare items according to established recipes to ensure a consistent product.
• Assist the Chef/Kitchen Manager with food preparation for all food outlets on the property.
• Perform related food-preparation and kitchen-sanitation or cleanliness tasks as directed by the Chef/Kitchen Manager.
• Adhere to procedural guidelines established by the Food Service and Safety Department.
