About The Position

Woodleigh Chase by Erickson Senior Living is hiring a Line Cook to contribute to its Signature Dining Programs through à la minute cooking and preparation of chef-inspired dishes. The role focuses on preparing meals safely and consistently, presenting them accurately, and supporting resident satisfaction. The schedule requires weekend availability, with no late hours; most restaurant team members finish before 9 p.m. The position is based at Woodleigh Chase, a continuing care retirement community in Fairfax, Virginia.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of cook-to-order experience.
• Availability to work some weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, including hot kitchens and cold refrigerators and freezers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and menu items consistently using proper safety and cooking techniques.
• Ensure meals are accurately portioned, plated, and served at the proper temperature with appropriate presentation.
• Use culinary skills to create high-quality dishes that enhance resident satisfaction.
• Keep the kitchen and workstation clean and sanitized.
