About The Position

Requirements

• English reading and writing ability.
• Cooking skills and basic kitchen skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Idaho Food Safety Certification; training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food, including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and preparing sauces, according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Cook and assemble breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu items on a cooking line.
• Use cooking methods such as grilling, frying, and sautéing.
• Ensure dishes meet the cafe’s standards for quality and visual presentation.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including food handling, storage, and cleaning procedures.
• Keep the workstation clean, organized, and stocked.
• Monitor station inventory and communicate supply or ingredient needs to kitchen leadership.
