About The Position
The Lakeview Café Cashier accurately processes customer transactions in a fast-paced food service environment. The role includes operating a cash register, handling cash and electronic payments, providing friendly customer service, and keeping the checkout area clean and organized. The cashier also assists with restocking inventory and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards. The position sells alcoholic beverages; Idaho State Police Alcohol Beverage Training Certificate training is provided. Scheduled hours are typically between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The role requires availability to work weekends and holidays. Employment is seasonal and may be full-time or part-time. The wage range is $15.00 plus tips. Minimum age is 19. A background check and driver verification are not required.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 19.
- English reading, writing, and communication skills, plus basic math.
- Basic computer knowledge and comfort using a computer-based point-of-sale system; Squirrel is the current system.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to stand or walk for up to 8 hours per shift and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays.

- Guest service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate the cash register and process transactions, including handling cash and balancing the register.
- Maintain efficient line speed and provide excellent guest service in the café’s front area.
- Restock food and beverage items, monitor inventory levels, and maintain proper stock rotation.
- Sell alcoholic beverages.
- Keep the front area clean, organized, and well-stocked in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Assist other café team members with various tasks during slow periods as needed.
