About The Position

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, and other kitchen equipment using machine and manual cleaning methods. The role keeps kitchen and dishwashing areas clean, safe, and organized, supporting kitchen operations and a positive dining experience. The position requires teamwork to help create an enjoyable working environment and a quality guest experience, and is suited to a hardworking, reliable team player who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 15.
• English reading and writing ability.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Ability to lift 25–50 pounds.
• Idaho Food Safety Certification; training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Scrape, wash, and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment or by hand.
• Maintain a clean and orderly dishwashing area and store cleaned items so they are accessible to kitchen and serving staff.
• Keep floors and surfaces free of spills and debris by sweeping and mopping.
• Empty trash and recycling regularly.
• Assist with general kitchen duties, including basic food preparation or receiving deliveries.
• Monitor the dishwashing machine's temperature and chemical levels and promptly report malfunctions or issues to a supervisor.
• Follow health, safety, and food-handling regulations.
• Support both back-of-house and front-of-house staff as a team member.
